Santa Eulalia area is the second most inhabited in Ibiza, second to Ibiza Town. It offers a wide variety of beaches, charming villages and some of the most interesting markets in Spain, which attract thousands of tourists from all over the world every year. Although geared to family holidays Santa Eulalia has developed a lively nightlife scene in recent times and is considered one of the best places on the island for good restaurants with both national and international cuisine to satisfy everyone's taste buds.
Santa Eulalia is located on the only river that runs through Ibiza, making it an important trade hub that has attracted settlers since the Romans. There is a Roman bridge that still stands today, as well as a number of other historic sites of interest, including Puig de Missa, a fort-like structure located on the top of the hill over the city. Originally designed as a defensive post against marauding pirates, today Puig de Missa serves as a ethnographic museum. |
Santa Eulalia remains pretty much the same all year round. It doesn’t get the mass population explosion that San Antonio does during peak season. This is perhaps because it has a much larger indigenous population.
The locals like it the way it is and want to keep it that way. Here you’ll find the only river in the entire Balearics and this is why it has always been of great strategic importance to Ibiza island. In Santa Eulalia you’ll find some of the best restaurants on the island. They even have a street called the “Restaurant Street”.

Weather observed in Santa Eulalia
In terms of nightlife Santa Eulalia has something to suit all tastes. Until a few years ago quiet drinks at English - style pubs were the rule. However, the opening of the Guarana music bar down by the marina has transformed the resort's nightlife. The English pubs are still there but now you can also enjoy a night of hot dancing and music just as easily in Santa Eulalia as in San Antonio. If you want to head out to some of the island's better known spots then take the Discobus which provides transport from Santa Eulalia to the Amnesia and Privilege clubs.
With a long-established reputation as the island's gastronomic and cultural centre, there are art galleries, a yacht marina, some of the island's best restaurants, exclusive shopping, and a thriving all-year community, to ensure that life in Santa Eulalia is led at a rather slower and more relaxing pace. Places to visit in and around Santa Eulalia include the famous Punta Arabí Hippy Market held nearby at Es Cana, the Santa Eulalia Tower a watchtower dating from the 16th century and the Can Marca Caves in the northIbiza near to Puerto de San Miguel
