Talamanca is a quiet destination in itself which mainly attracts families with children who prefer to avoid the wild nightlife of Playa d'en Bossa to the south and Ibiza Town itself. It's a great choice if you just want to chill out on its sandy beach by day and dine in the fine restaurants of the marina by night. There are few shops here in Talamanca, but it’s only a 15 minute walk to the village of Jesus, where there are restaurants, supermarkets, shops and banks. hildren will be impressed by the proximity of the Aqualandia Water Park and the selection of boat excursions available from the marina.
Talamanca Beach is very sheltered and shallow sloping with fine sand, making it very safe for families.
The beach is the largest in the municipality of Ibiza and lies in a sea inlet which protects itfrom most winds. This is a natural beach with some rocky areas on both ends, and looks towards the South East. Talamanca beach has many restaurants and bars, where you can eat cheaply from the set menus or more up market from any of the more tourist restaurants. There are many hotels around this area but is easily reached by car, bus and ferry. |
If you’re looking to go clubbing in Talamanca itself then you’re likely to be disappointed, but fear not as every resort on the island is reachable by bus or boat and you are so close to Pacha in Ibiza Town that it’s not even an inconvenience. The smart (and the stylish) breed of clubber will spend all day soaking up the rays on Talamanca beach before hopping on the ferry over to Ibiza Town, partying until dawn and then walking back barefoot over the golden sand at sunrise. For glamorous nightlife, it’s only a short taxi ride to the hot clubs of El Divino and Pacha, where you can dance to the latest music until dawn.

Weather in Talamanca - Ibiza
Because it is relatively quiet, families are drawn here each year. However, although the resort has its own gently sloping sandy beach, and shallow waters, Talamanca is not rated particularly highly nor geared towards watersports, so many holidaymakers choose instead to spend their days in Figueretas or Ses Salines. There is, however, a pretty promenade which runs along the whole bay, playing host to many beach tavernas and cafes.
The Ocean Drive is inspired by South Beach and decorated in a Miami art-deco style. The hotel is even more impressive at night, when it is lit by blue neon lights and visible across Ibiza's bay. The ideal spot for those looking to enjoy the islands famous nightlife, it lies just a short distance from clubs such as Pachá and El Divino. Meanwhile, during the day, spend your time relaxing on the golden sands of Talamanca Beach, just 300 metres away.
